Jonathan Mark Dowling brings over two decades of experience to the intersection of German technical expertise and English language precision. A graduate in Modern Languages and Business, he has spent his career translating not just words, but meaning—helping German industrial and technology firms communicate with authority in English-speaking markets.

His path has been anything but conventional. From the energetic rock bands of his youth to the solitary precision of technical translation, from navigating complex family dynamics to building a creative and commercial life between two countries, Jonathan brings a rare combination of analytical rigour and creative sensibility to every project.

Based between the UK and his eventual home in Brazil, he founded Dowling Communications Ltd. to offer something the translation industry has largely forgotten: a direct, personal partnership between client and specialist. No account managers. No offshore subcontractors. No bureaucracy. Just a clear, skilled, reliable voice for your technical communication.

When not translating, he is developing a body of satirical writing drawn from a life rich in material—exploring themes of family, sovereignty, and the absurd architecture of human defence mechanisms. He is also a husband, a father, and a man finally building his paradise.
